Daniel Flahie

Daniel Flahie is currently the program director and Instructor of Exercise Science & Health as well as a volunteer assistant track & field coach at Mount Marty College, where he works with the sprinters and jumpers and programs all of the Strength training for the team. This summer he will be taking over as a BRIN research mentor at Mount Marty, focusing his research on resistance training in the geriatric population.  Daniel holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in exercise science and is currently pursuing a PhD in Health & Human Performance.  He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Speed and Agility Coach (CSAC), Functional Movement Screen Level 1 (FMS), Y- Balance Test (YBT), and Reflexive Performance Reset Level 2 (RPR) Certified.  Daniel has over six years’ experience as a personal trainer and strength coach.  Daniel has been published numerous times in the Nebraska Coaches Magazine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association's personal training quarterly. He is also the co-host of the “Die Healthier Podcast” available on ITunes and GooglePlay.
